This 14-day route visits ten Lesser Antillean islands. The sample sequence starts with Barbados and continues through St. Lucia, Martinique, Dominica, Guadeloupe, Montserrat, Antigua, Barbuda, St. Vincent and Grenada. Flights and boat crossings make it a true island-hopping expedition, with birding planned around species whose ranges may be limited to one island or a small part of the region.
The habitats change repeatedly along the way. Barbados introduces wetland and open-country birds; dry scrub on Barbuda supports its endemic warbler; and volcanic islands add rainforest, montane forest and coastal sites. The itinerary searches for parrots, orioles, tremblers, thrashers, hummingbirds, flycatchers and other regional specialties. Sea crossings may also produce pelagic birds, while any encounters with dolphins, whales or marine turtles remain incidental possibilities rather than promised sightings.
The published estimate is up to 256 bird species, with 98 endemics or endemic subspecies considered likely. Most trails are described as maintained and relatively level, with light to moderate climbs taken at a steady pace; a few sections are steeper. Group size is limited to ten clients plus the tour leader and, when required, a local guide. Because regional flight schedules affect both sequence and access, the starting island, finishing island and exact daily order are confirmed closer to departure. An optional Trinidad and Tobago extension can continue the birding into a community with stronger South American influence.

Arrive at Grantley Adams International Airport and transfer to the south coast. If timing permits, begin at a nearby wetland for Barbados Bullfinch, Antillean Crested Hummingbird, Caribbean races of Yellow Warbler and other resident or seasonal waterbirds.
Fly to St. Lucia and start in semi-arid woodland near Dennery, where St. Lucia Thrasher is a principal search. Continue into Des Cartiers Rainforest for St. Lucia Parrot, St. Lucia Oriole, St. Lucia Black Finch and other forest specialties.
Enter montane forest for the best-supported search for Imperial Amazon, locally known as the Sisserou. The same forest can also hold Lesser Antillean Euphonia, Lesser Antillean Flycatcher, Ruddy Quail-Dove and other regional birds.
Cross from Antigua to Barbuda for a day in the island’s dry scrub. Barbuda Warbler is the central target, with Common Ground Dove, Caribbean Elaenia and Black-faced Grassquit among the other birds possible in the same habitat.
Use the final morning for a nearby woodland search for Grenada Wren before transferring to the airport. Travelers joining the optional extension continue by air to Trinidad; others connect with their onward journey.
