Hedydipna pallidigaster (Sclater, WL & Moreau, 1935)

Amani Sunbird, Hedydipna pallidigaster, is a bird of Tanzania and south-eastern Kenya in the family Nectariniidae. It lives in moist lowland and montane forest, including open woodland and low-density forest, and has also been recorded in cultivated areas close to forest. The male has a dark green head and throat, with a lighter green breast and a yellow belly, while the female is olive-brown with a greyer head and pale yellow areas. It breeds from May to June and again from September to December, and feeds on nectar, spiders, caterpillars and other insects.
