Apurimac Brushfinch, Atlapetes forbesi, is a passerine in the New World sparrow family and is found in Peru. It was described by Morrison in 1947 and is endemic to the country. Its range lies in south-central Peru, from eastern Ayacucho through much of Apurimac and a little into western Cuzco. It lives in montane scrub and Polylepis woodland in intermontane valleys. The species is a year-round resident. Its breeding period is not fully defined, though it is known from March to May.
