Black-chinned Robin, Leucophantes brachyurus, is a passerine of the Australasian robin family that breeds in north-western and northern New Guinea. It lives mainly in lowland forest, from sea level up to 650 m, with most records from West Papua and a smaller part of north-western Papua New Guinea. It is the only species in Leucophantes. The bird was first described by Sclater in 1874. Its range includes the Bird’s Head Peninsula, Yapen and east north central New Guinea, with three recognised subspecies.
