About this tour

Travel west from Saskatoon to the Eagle Hills, where dense, moist woodland supports woodpeckers, flycatchers, warblers and other nesting songbirds. An optional walk follows an old level road, while roadside stops provide further chances to listen and scan the forest edge.

The return route adds Eagle Creek Regional Park and back-road bridges over the creek. These sites broaden the habitat to include river birds, swallows, thrushes and open-country species. The guide identifies birds and sets up a spotting scope when useful; every sighting remains seasonal.

This easy eight-hour programme is mainly a driving tour with optional level walking. Participants use their own or rented vehicle, and the estimated return distance from Saskatoon is about 250 kilometres. Guests with limited mobility may remain in their vehicle at many stops.
