Black-naped Oriole, Oriolus chinensis, is a passerine of the Oriolidae family that breeds widely across the Oriental Region and Australasia. It is found in many parts of Asia. A key feature is the broad eye-stripe, which widens and meets at the back of the neck. The bill is pink and more robust than that of the golden oriole. Males and females look much alike, though the female has a more greenish wing lining. The species was described by Linnaeus in 1766.
