Black-throated Sunbird

The Black-throated Sunbird is a small, colorful bird found in the montane forests and highland areas of Southeast Asia. It is known for its iridescent plumage, with the male displaying a glossy green upperparts and a striking black throat, while the female has olive-green upperparts and a yellowish throat. These sunbirds are nectar feeders and play an important role in pollination. They are often seen flitting between flowers with their long, curved bills. The species is known for its distinctive and melodious calls, often heard in the forest canopy.
