Blue-footed Booby, Sula nebouxii, is a bird of the Sulidae family in the eastern Pacific Ocean, breeding patchily from the Gulf of California to north-west Peru. Outside the breeding season it ranges as far north as southern California and south to central Peru. It is best known for its bright blue feet, a feature used in courtship when the male raises them and steps about before the female. The species was described by Milne-Edwards in 1882. It nests on tropical and subtropical Pacific islands.
