Sula nebouxii
The blue-footed booby is a marine bird known for its distinctive bright blue feet, which are used in courtship displays. These birds are found along the Pacific coasts of Central and South America, often nesting on rocky cliffs and islands. Blue-footed boobies are excellent divers, plunging from the air to catch fish near the ocean's surface. Their plumage is predominantly brown and white, with striking blue feet and beak. These birds are known for their comical mating dances, where they lift their feet and perform high-stepping movements. The blue-footed booby is not currently considered to be at risk, with stable populations across its range.
