Day 1
Pantanos de Villa Wetlands and Pucusana Boat Trip

We will start our Lima Birding Tour from your hotel and we will go to one of the most important coastal wetlands in Peru… Los Pantanos de Villa In this reserve we will start our Pantanos de Villa Lima birding tour visiting different habitats in search of Pied-billed, White-tufted and Great Grebe, Many-colored Rush Tyrant, Wren-like Rushbird, Puna Ibis, Cinnamon Teal, White-cheeked Pintail, Andean Duck and according the season (October to April) hundreds of migratory birds. At the appropriate time we will continue to a fishing village called Pucusana. This Village is located just 60 kilometers from the city of Lima. In the place we will board a rustic boat and in just 10 minutes we will be in front of Chuncho Island, home of the Red-legged, Guanay and Neotropic Cormorant, Inca Tern, Blackish Oystercatcher, Surf Cinclodes (Endemic), Peruvian booby and a little footed booby colony as well as a Humboldt Penguin Colony. After our Pucusana Lima birding tour, we will return to the port to start our hour and a half return to the city of Lima. Arrival at the selected hotel or restaurant at approximately 1:30 pm. In time for you to grab lunch.
