Blue-headed Hummingbird, Riccordia bicolor, breeds in the Lesser Antilles, where it is confined to Dominica and Martinique. It is a hummingbird in the family Trochilidae and the order Apodiformes. Its most striking feature is the male’s blue head, while the female shows a white front with bronze-green back and wings. The species was described by Gmelin, JF, in 1788. It lives in forests along rivers.
