Bornean Crested Fireback, Lophura ignita, is a pheasant of the family Phasianidae that breeds in Bangka, east of southern Sumatra, and on Borneo. It is a member of Galliformes and was described by Shaw in 1798. The male has a dark blue head with an upright crest and bright blue facial wattles, while the female shows a chestnut head with a darker crest and bluer wattles. Males also have longer spurs and a longer, arched tail, whereas the female’s tail is straighter and darker.
