Brahminy Starling, Sturnia pagodarum, is a passerine of the starling family that breeds from eastern Afghanistan to Bangladesh. It is a bird of open country on the plains, and is also found in dry forest, scrub jungle and cultivated land, often near people. It is usually encountered in pairs or small flocks. A notable feature is its pale buff and creamy plumage, set off by a black cap and a loose crest. The species was first described by Gmelin in 1789.
