Brown-necked Raven

Corvus pusillus

The Brown-necked Raven (Corvus pusillus) is a medium-sized bird found in the arid and semi-arid regions of North Africa and the Middle East. It is easily identified by its glossy black plumage and distinctive brown neck. These intelligent birds are known for their adaptability and can be found in a variety of habitats, including deserts, rocky areas, and open plains. They are opportunistic feeders, scavenging for a wide range of food items including carrion, insects, and small vertebrates. The Brown-necked Raven is not currently considered to be at risk, and its population is stable throughout its range.
