Chubut Steamer Duck Tachyeres leucocephalus is a flightless duck in the Anatidae family and the Anseriformes order. It is endemic to Argentina and breeds along the South American coast from northern-central to southern Chubut Province in south-eastern Argentina. The species was only described in 1981 and is confined to a relatively short coastal stretch around Golfo San Jorge. Males have a white head, a yellow-orange bill with a black nail, and grey upperparts with a white belly. Females have brown head and neck plumage and a greenish-yellow bill.
