Crested Partridge, Rollulus rouloul, is a pheasant in the family Phasianidae and breeds in the Oriental Region, including Thailand, the Malay Peninsula, Sumatra, Borneo and some nearby islands. It is the only species placed in Rollulus. In lowland rainforest it lives as a resident breeder. The bird has a scarlet bare patch around the eye and red legs, with no spur or hind toe. The male carries a tall red crest, while the female lacks the crest and has a slate-grey head. The bill is dark throughout.
