Crested Pigeon, Ocyphaps lophotes, is a pigeon of Australia, breeding across mainland Australia except the far north and Tasmania. It is marked by an upright crest, one of only two Australian pigeons with that feature, and it is the larger of those two. The bird is found in lightly wooded grasslands and also in rural and urban settings, including watercourses, gardens, pastoral land, sports grounds and golf courses. It has adapted to grain-growing areas and is often seen in flocks. When disturbed, it rises with a whistling wing sound.
