Dusky Warbler

Phylloscopus fuscatus

The Dusky Warbler is a small, migratory songbird known for its olive-brown upperparts and pale underparts with a distinct eye-ring. This species breeds in the taiga and forested areas of northern Asia and migrates to wintering grounds in southern Asia. It forages actively for insects and spiders in dense vegetation, often flicking its wings and tail. The Dusky Warbler's song is a rapid and high-pitched trill. Due to its remote breeding and wintering grounds, this species remains relatively understudied.
