About this tour

Khao Yai Bird Watching – 3 Days / 2 Nights

Experience one of Thailand’s most famous birding destinations on this immersive three-day bird watching tour in Khao Yai National Park. Known for its lush evergreen forests, open grasslands, waterfalls, and rich wildlife, Khao Yai offers outstanding bird diversity and excellent opportunities for both observation and photography.

Over three days, you will explore a wide range of habitats within the park, accompanied by an experienced local birding guide. Early morning and late afternoon sessions are planned to coincide with peak bird activity, allowing you to encounter a broad selection of resident and migratory species. The park is especially well known for hornbills, trogons, broadbills, barbets, drongos, flycatchers, bulbuls, and many other colorful forest birds.

Birding locations include forest trails, roadside viewpoints, riverbanks, salt licks, and clearings, each supporting different bird communities. The extended duration of the tour allows time to revisit productive sites, adapt to weather conditions, and search for special or elusive species that may not be found on a single-day visit.

In addition to birds, Khao Yai’s rich ecosystem offers chances to observe other wildlife and enjoy scenic natural landscapes. Comfortable accommodation near the park, well-paced daily schedules, and expert guiding ensure a relaxed yet rewarding experience.

This tour is ideal for birdwatchers seeking deeper exploration of a premier forest reserve, as well as nature lovers who want to experience Thailand’s biodiversity in a structured, professionally guided setting.
