Lemon-rumped Warbler

Phylloscopus reguloides

The Lemon-rumped Warbler (Phylloscopus reguloides) is a small, insectivorous bird found in the high-altitude forests of the Himalayas and parts of Southeast Asia. This species is known for its olive-green upperparts, yellow underparts, and a distinctive lemon-yellow rump. It forages actively in the canopy, often joining mixed-species feeding flocks. The Lemon-rumped Warbler builds its cup-shaped nest in dense vegetation, usually near water sources. It is known for its distinctive high-pitched song, often heard during the breeding season. Despite facing threats from habitat loss and climate change, the population trend of this species is currently stable.
