Yellow-browed Warbler

Phylloscopus chloronotus

The Yellow-browed Warbler, scientifically known as Phylloscopus chloronotus, is a small passerine bird found in the Palearctic and Indomalayan regions. It is known for its distinctive yellow eyebrow stripe and olive-green upperparts. This species is renowned for its remarkable long-distance migration, with individuals traveling from breeding grounds in Siberia to wintering areas in Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. Yellow-browed Warblers forage actively in tree canopies, feeding on insects and larvae. They prefer dense forests and woodland habitats, often found in mixed-species flocks. Despite facing threats from habitat loss and climate change, the global population of this species is currently stable.
