Small Minivet

Pericrocotus cinnamomeus

The Small Minivet is a small passerine bird found in South and Southeast Asia. It is known for its striking plumage, with the male having bright red, yellow, and black colors, while the female has gray and yellow plumage. These birds inhabit various forest types, including tropical and subtropical moist forests, and are often found in the canopy or mid-story. Small Minivets are insectivorous and are known for their agile flight as they catch insects in mid-air. They are generally not considered to be globally threatened and are categorized as a species of Least Concern by the IUCN.
