Silver-breasted Broadbill

Serilophus lunatus (Gould, 1834)

Silver-breasted Broadbill, Serilophus lunatus, is a passerine in the Eurylaimidae and breeds from central Myanmar to south-east China, Vietnam, the Malay Peninsula and Sumatra. It was described by Gould in 1834. The species is placed in Serilophus, alongside the grey-lored broadbill, which was once treated as part of it. Seven subspecies are recognised. Its range also includes Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Nepal, and it uses moist lowland and montane forest, with records from logged forest, agricultural land and gardens.
