Fischer's Sparrow-Lark, Eremopterix leucopareia, is a lark found in central Kenya, eastern Zambia, Malawi and north-western Mozambique. It lives in subtropical or tropical dry lowland grassland and on short grass plains. The bird is plain and rather subdued in appearance, with a finch-like look. It is separated from the similar chestnut-headed sparrow-lark by lacking a white crown patch. Its common name honours the German explorer Gustav Fischer.
