Parulidae — New World Warblers

Flame-throated Warbler, Oreothlypis gutturalis, breeds in Costa Rica and Panama in Middle America. It is a resident of the Talamancan montane forests, where it is found in woodland edges, clearings with trees and the canopy. Its range is mainly from 2,100 m up to the timberline, and on the Caribbean slope in the wet season it can be found as low as 1,400 m. It is a New World warbler in the family Parulidae. The species was described by Cabanis in 1861.
