Fülleborn's Boubou, Laniarius fuelleborni, breeds in eastern Africa, with records from Malawi, Tanzania and Zambia. It is a bushshrike of humid montane forest, thick undergrowth, secondary growth, forest margins and bamboo groves. The species is medium-sized and the sexes look alike. Adults have bluish slate-grey upperparts, with a blacker head, wings and tail, and dark slate-grey underparts. Juveniles are browner and lack gloss. The bird is named for the German physician Friedrich Fülleborn. It was described by Reichenow in 1900.
