Golden-rumped Euphonia, Chlorophonia cyanocephala, is a finch in the family Fringillidae that breeds across South America, from Colombia through the Andes to Bolivia and north-west Argentina, and also in south-east Brazil, east Paraguay and north-east Argentina. It was formerly recorded on Trinidad. It lives in a scattered pattern and uses secondary forest, forest edges, disturbed places and shade coffee plantations. The bird is notable for its golden-yellow to orange-yellow lower back and rump. It was first described in 1819 and is placed in Passeriformes.
