Gray-throated Warbler

Atlapetes canigenis

The Gray-throated Warbler is a small passerine bird found in the highland forests of Central America. It has a distinctive gray throat and olive-green upperparts, with a yellow belly and undertail coverts. This species is known for its melodious song, often heard in the dense undergrowth of its forest habitat. It forages for insects and small fruits in the mid to upper levels of the forest, and is often observed in mixed-species flocks. The Gray-throated Warbler is considered a species of least concern by the IUCN, but its population may be declining due to habitat loss and fragmentation.
