Green Warbler

Phylloscopus nitidus Blyth, 1843

Green Warbler, Phylloscopus nitidus, is a leaf warbler that breeds in the Palearctic from northern Turkey and the northern Caucasus south to northern Georgia, northern Iran and north-west Afghanistan, and spends the non-breeding season in southern Pakistan, India and Sri Lanka. It belongs to the family Phylloscopidae in the order Passeriformes. Described by Blyth in 1843, it is closely related to the greenish warbler. It shows one clear wing bar and a second that is less distinct, especially in young birds.
