Grey-cheeked Fulvetta

Alcippe morrisonia Swinhoe, 1863

Grey-cheeked Fulvetta, Alcippe morrisonia, is a passerine of the Leiothrichidae family found in Taiwan, where it breeds and remains all year. It lives in evergreen mountain forest across the island. First described by Swinhoe in 1863, it is the Taiwan form of a wider species complex, with David's fulvetta, Huet's fulvetta and Yunnan fulvetta now treated separately. It has a grey head, a white eye ring and a black stripe from the bill along the side of the neck, with olive upperparts and yellow underparts.
