Jet Antbird, Cercomacra nigricans, is a passerine antbird of Middle America and South America, breeding from Panama to western Ecuador, north-western Colombia and eastern Venezuela. It was described by Sclater in 1858. The species is monotypic. It occurs in forested country, especially mature secondary growth and the margins of primary forest with dense understorey, often close to swampy ground or watercourses. Its range is split into separate populations across Panama, Colombia, Venezuela and Ecuador.
