Kashmir Flycatcher, Ficedula subrubra, breeds in north India and spends the non-breeding season in Sri Lanka. It is a passerine in the flycatcher family Muscicapidae, and its breeding grounds are in the north-west Himalayas. The male is marked by a dark edge to the reddish throat, which helps separate it from similar birds. Females are harder to tell apart from the red-breasted flycatcher. It was first described in 1934 by Hartert, EJO and Steinbacher.
