Livingstone's turaco

Livingstone's turaco is a striking bird found in the woodlands and forests of eastern Africa. It is known for its vibrant green and purple plumage, with a distinctive red and yellow beak. This medium-sized bird is arboreal, spending much of its time in the canopy, where it feeds on fruits, leaves, and insects. Livingstone's turaco is known for its loud, distinctive calls that echo through the forest. It plays a vital role in seed dispersal and contributes to the biodiversity of its habitat. Despite facing threats from habitat loss and hunting, its population status is currently assessed as Least Concern by the IUCN.
