The Lizard Buzzard (Kaupifalco monogrammicus) is a small to medium-sized bird of prey found in sub-Saharan Africa. It has a distinctive appearance with a barred tail and a streaked underbelly. This raptor is often seen perched on open branches or soaring over savannas and woodland areas in search of its prey, which mainly consists of small reptiles, insects, and small mammals. The Lizard Buzzard is known for its agile flight and sharp, high-pitched calls. It is a solitary bird and typically nests in tall trees, constructing a platform of sticks and lining it with leaves and grasses.
