Long-legged Pipit, Anthus pallidiventris, is a bird of west-central Africa and breeds in Angola, Cameroon, the Republic of the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Equatorial Guinea and Gabon. It belongs to the Motacillidae family and was described by Sharpe in 1885. It is linked with dry lowland grassland, and also occurs in pastures, farmland, airfields and open ground near villages and towns. It is marked by stilt-like legs, a tall body and a relatively long bill, with olive-grey plumage, a clear moustache stripe, little chest streaking and an unstreaked back.
