Malabar Trogon

This species is known for its quiet and elusive nature, often perching motionless in the dense forest canopy. It feeds on insects and small fruits, and its breeding season coincides with the monsoon rains. The Malabar Trogon is closely associated with moist evergreen forests and is often found in the vicinity of streams and wooded areas. Despite its striking appearance, it can be challenging to spot due to its secretive behavior.
