Multicolored Tanager

Multicolored Tanager, Chlorochrysa nitidissima, is a tanager of the mountains of Colombia in South America, placed in the family Thraupidae. It is found in wet montane forest in the interior of the country, especially in the Occidental and Central Cordillera. The bird is mainly associated with mature forest, though it has also been noted in older secondary growth and along forest edges. It is most often recorded in Valle del Cauca, where it stays all year and can still be seen in small forest fragments.
