Nicobar Parakeet, Psittacula caniceps, lives in the Nicobar Islands of the Indian Ocean and is a parrot in the family Psittaculidae. It is one of the larger parakeets, with a length of 56 to 60 cm from head to tail and a weight of about 224 g. Its plumage is mainly green, with a yellowish-grey head and strong black markings on the face. A black line runs from the forehead to the eyes, and a wide dark band reaches from the lower bill to the sides of the neck.
