Great Nicobar Island Endemics Birding Tour
A fifteen-day island expedition from South Andaman to Campbell Bay for the highly localized birds of Great Nicobar and surrounding coastal habitats.
About this tour
This remote island program begins with several days of birding around Port Blair, Sippighat, Shoal Bay, Ograbranj and Chidiya Tapu. It then uses the government inter-island vessel to reach Campbell Bay, with the sea crossing also offering time to watch for pelagic birds.
Great Nicobar sessions cover forest margins, wetlands and selected routes around Galathea, Govind Nagar, Shastri Nagar and other accessible local sites. The weekly ship schedule shapes the journey and leaves roughly eight days for field work on Great Nicobar. The operator expects about 80 to 100 species, with the emphasis on endemics rather than a large total.
Ship operations, permits, access and weather can force changes. Current dates, accommodation, transport, group size, price and final inclusions are reconfirmed before booking.
