Nicobar Sparrowhawk, Tachyspiza butleri, is a bird of prey found in the Nicobar Islands of India. It belongs to the Accipitridae family and is restricted to this island group. The species occurs on Car Nicobar in the north, while T. b. obsoleta is recorded from Katchal and Camorta in the central Nicobars. A specimen once linked to Great Nicobar was later shown to be a misidentified Besra. Its natural home is moist lowland forest in the subtropics or tropics. It was previously placed in the genus Accipiter.
