Ocellated Antbird, Phaenostictus mcleannani, is a passerine antbird of the family Thamnophilidae that breeds from Honduras to north-west Ecuador. It is the only species in its genus. The bird was first described by Lawrence in 1860. It lives in lowland and foothill evergreen forest, especially old-growth primary woodland, though it also occurs in mature secondary forest. It stays mainly in the forest understorey and is a year-round resident. Its range includes Middle America and South America, with the northern limit in Honduras and the southern limit in north-west Ecuador.
