Orange-bellied Euphonia, Euphonia xanthogaster, is a finch of Middle and South America, from Panama through the Andes to north-western Peru, and from Venezuela to western Brazil, with another population in eastern Brazil. It was described by Sundevall in 1834. The species belongs to Fringillidae and has a disjunct range. It lives in humid evergreen forest, including canopy, edges and gaps with trees, and in the Andes it also uses foothill forest, cloudforest and shady plantations. In the Amazon Basin it occurs in várzea and terra firme forest.
