Orange-throated Tanager, Wetmorethraupis sterrhopteron, is a tanager of humid forest in South America, recorded from Peru and southern Ecuador near the border between the two countries. It is the only species placed in Wetmorethraupis, a genus created for it when Lowery and O'Neill described it in 1964. The bird is closely allied to Bangsia. Its known breeding range is very restricted, and it occurs very locally within that border region.
