Pallas's Rosefinch, Carpodacus roseus, is a finch of the Palearctic, breeding in the taiga and meadows of central and north-eastern Asia. Its breeding range runs from the Yenisei region of central Siberia east to the Sea of Okhotsk coast in eastern Russia, with further breeding in far north-east Kazakhstan, northern and central Mongolia, northern Amurland and northern Sakhalin. In the non-breeding season it moves to eastern China, the Korean Peninsula and Japan as far south as Shikoku. It is a slender rosefinch with a long notched tail and a short greyish bill.
