Peruvian Plantcutter, Phytotoma raimondii, is a passerine found in north-west Peru, where it is confined to a narrow coastal strip. It belongs to the cotinga family and was described by Taczanowski in 1883. The bird is local in its range and lives in dry and arid country, including dry forest with scrub, desert scrub and thickets beside watercourses. It is usually associated with slopes rather than level ground. Its breeding range is in South America: nw Peru.
