Treron olax
The Pink-necked Green Pigeon (Treron olax) is a medium-sized pigeon species found in Southeast Asia. The male has a distinctive pink neck and chest, while the female has a more subdued green plumage. These pigeons are primarily frugivorous, feeding on a variety of fruits and berries. They are often found in forested areas, including both primary and secondary forests, as well as mangroves and wooded urban areas. The Pink-necked Green Pigeon is known for its soft, melodious cooing calls, which are often heard during the breeding season.
