Pink-necked Green Pigeon, Treron vernans, is a pigeon in the Columbidae family that breeds across south-east Asia, from the Philippines and Sulawesi region to western and central Lesser Sundas and northern Moluccas. It is a familiar bird of the Oriental Region and Australasia. The male has the pink neck that gives the bird its name. It is found in forested places and in areas altered by people, and it also occurs in open country. In the Philippines it is known as punay. It was described by Linnaeus in 1771.
