Puna Tinamou is a tinamou in the family Tinamidae and the order Tinamiformes. It occurs in South America, with a breeding range in southern Peru, northern Bolivia, northern Chile and north-western Argentina. The species lives in high-altitude grassland and, less often, in brushland. These habitats are found in subtropical and tropical areas at elevations between 4,000 and 4,700 m. It is a monotypic species. The scientific name is Tinamotis pentlandii.
