Rock Pratincole, Glareola nuchalis, is a bird of rocky rivers in tropical Africa. It breeds across Africa and is tied to stony banks beside rivers and lakes, where water levels shape its movements. The species is notable for the pale line that runs from below the eye to the back of the neck, giving the adult a collar-like look. It also has long dark wings with a white patch beneath, a forked tail, and a black bill with a red base. The legs and eyes are coral red.
