Rosy-faced Lovebird
Agapornis roseicollis
The Rosy-faced Lovebird, also known as the Peach-faced Lovebird, is a small parrot species native to arid regions of southwestern Africa. These lovebirds are known for their vibrant plumage, with a predominantly green body, a striking peach-colored face, and blue and purple tail feathers. They are highly social birds, often forming large flocks in their natural habitat. Rosy-faced Lovebirds are cavity nesters, utilizing tree hollows for breeding. Their diet consists of seeds, fruits, and vegetation. Due to habitat loss and trapping for the pet trade, their populations are declining in some areas.
