Rusty-crowned Tit-Spinetail, Leptasthenura pileata, is a bird of the Andes in western Peru and is endemic to that country. It belongs to the ovenbird family Furnariidae and was described by Sclater in 1881. It is a small furnariid with a long tail and a short bill. The sexes look alike. It lives in arid montane scrub and old woodland, especially where Polylepis grows, and is found mostly between 2,900 and 4,200 m, though it can occur as low as 2,000 m.
