Salvadori's Seedeater, Crithagra xantholaema, is a finch found in north-east Africa, with its breeding range in central and south-central Ethiopia. It lives in montane acacia and gorges. Salvadori described it in 1896. It belongs to the family Fringillidae and the order Passeriformes. It was once included in Serinus, but later work on DNA showed that group did not form a natural unit, so the species was moved to Crithagra.
